Science Lab Report and Self-Assessment Guide: Lab Reports Simplified

Science Investigation and Self Reflection Guide. This guide is designed to be used by students of any grade and skill level to complete a scientific lab for any curriculum area. It is a simple, scaffolded step-by-step walkthrough to get your kids used to writing lab reports. Each section is laid out and contains sentence starters to get them writing. I have found that with my students, providing them with this kind of scaffolding reduces their stress levels and also works great as a data collection tool for more experienced writers. The last section provides students with an opportunity to reflect on their contribution to hopefully become more effective group members in the future. On top of that, it’s designed to be easy to mark.

Buyer Comment: “I love the idea of having my students self-assess their lab work and conduct. I plan on using this for every lab and can’t wait to see their personal and academic growth as a result. Thank you!”

The resource is fully editable and comes in both Word and PDF file types.
